Brownsville Collegiate is part of the Collegiate network within Uncommon Schools. Brownsville Collegiate Charter School joins three other Collegiate charter schools in Brooklyn. The first school in the Collegiate network, Williamsburg Collegiate Charter School, is one of the ten highest-ranked middle schools in New York City (based on 2008 NYC Department of Education Progress Reports), after being #1 on the 2007 Progress Reports.
100% of Williamsburg Collegiate 7th grade students scored advanced or proficient on the 2008 New York State Math exam and 92% of the same cohort scored advanced or proficient on the 2008 New York State ELA exam.

Williamsburg Collegiate was the highest performing school in Community School District 14 on the 2008 6th Grade New York State English Language Arts exam. Eighty-seven percent (87%) of Williamsburg Collegiate 6th grade students scored Advanced or Proficient – compared to 53% citywide and 45% in CSD 14 – an increase of 29 percentage points from the same cohort’s initial performance at WCCS last year.

Kings Collegiate 5th grade students out-performed their peers in their surrounding school district and in New York City Schools after just 8 months at the school.
