Jabali Sawicki Principal

Jabali Sawicki is the Principal of Excellence Boys. Prior to joining Excellence Boys, Mr. Sawicki taught Science at Roxbury Preparatory Charter School in Boston, MA. There, he played a central role in implementing the school's academic program while founding a support group for boys and a competitive soccer program. Mr. Sawicki is a 2003 KIPP Fisher Fellow. He graduated from Oberlin College, where he received a dual degree in Biology and Philosophy, and received an M.A. in Educational Administration from Columbia University Teachers College.

Tim Saintsing Co-Director for Operations

Tim Saintsing is the Co-Director for Operations of Excellence Boys. Prior to joining Excellence Boys, Mr. Saintsing managed the No Child Left Behind Public School Choice Program for the New York City Department of Education. He is a graduate of Davidson College, where he earned a degree in Political Science, and received a Master of Public Policy degree from the Terry Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University.

Annie Ferrell Elementary Academy Director

Annie Ferrell is the Elementary Academy Director at Excellence Boys. Previous to this role, Ms. Ferrell was the Director of Staff Development at Excellence Boys. Prior to Excellence Boys, Ms. Ferrell was a First Grade Teacher at Wilkinson Elementary in South East, D.C. Ms. Ferrell holds a B.A. in History from Vassar College and a Masters in Education from Hunter College School of Education through a unique teacher education program sponsored by Uncommon Schools, KIPP, and Achievement First. Ms. Ferrell also holds an intervention certificate through the Ennis William Cosby Graduate Certificate Program at the Fordham University Graduate School of Education. She is an alumna of Teach For America.

Shradha Patel Middle Academy Director

Shradha Patel is the Middle Academy Director at Excellence Boys. Prior to joining Excellence Boys, Ms. Patel was the Graduate Services Coordinator at Roxbury Preparatory Charter School in Massachusetts, where she tracked the academic and social progress of and provided support to nearly 300 RPCS alumni. Prior to this role at Roxbury Prep, she served as an eighth grade History teacher for four years. Before joining Roxbury Prep, Ms. Patel served as a Humanities teacher at both the Patrick Lyndon Pilot School and the Graham and Parks Public Alternative School, both in Massachusetts. Ms. Patel is a graduate of Brown University, where she earned a B.A. in Educational Studies, and of Tufts University, where she earned a Masters degree in History.

Kyle Klopcic Elementary Academy Director of Operations

Kyle Klopcic is the Director of Operations for the Elementary Academy at Excellence Boys. Prior to joining Excellence Boys, Mr. Klopcic was a Senior Analyst in Corporate Strategy and Business Development at The Walt Disney Company. Before working at Disney, Mr. Klopcic was an Investment Banking Analyst at Lehman Brothers. He holds an A.B. in Economics from Harvard University, where he also obtained a Spanish language certificate.
Chris Kang Middle Academy Director of Operations

Chris Kang is the Director of Operations for the Middle Academy at Excellence Boys. Prior to joining Excellence Boys, Mr. Kang worked with Teach For America on the Selection Design & Decision Quality, Human Assets Team as a 2009 Education Pioneers Fellow. Mr. Kang formerly taught 7th and 8th grade Math at the Elysian Charter School in Hoboken, New Jersey and at M.S. 246: Crossroads Middle School in New York City. Before teaching, Mr. Kang served as an AmeriCorps Member with Partners in School Innovation in San Francisco, California. Mr. Kang holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Michigan, an M.S. in Education from the Bank Street College of Education, and an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management.
Roberto de León Elementary Academy Director of Staff Development

Roberto de León is the Elementary Academy Director of Staff Development. Mr. de León holds a B.A. in Education and Spanish from Washington University in St. Louis and an M.Ed. in Special Education and General Education from Lehman College. He most recently taught Third Grade at Excellence Boys. Prior to joining Excellence Boys, Mr. de León taught Special Education at PS 154X in the Bronx. He is an alumnus of Teach For America.
Suzanne Wasik Elementary Academy Dean of Students

Suzanne Wasik is the Elementary Academy Dean of Students at Excellence Boys. Previous to this role, Ms. Wasik was a Kindergarten Lead Teacher at Excellence Boys. Ms. Wasik earned a B.A. in American Studies and Drama from Kenyon College, and a M.S. in Early Childhood Education from Pace University. Prior to joining Excellence, Ms. Wasik was a Kindergarten and Literacy Intervention Teacher, as well as a Drama Coach, at P.S. 58 in the Bronx, New York. She is an alumna of Teach For America, and served as the Teach For America School Team Leader for P.S. 58.
Brett Peiser Uncommon Schools Managing Director

Brett Peiser is a Managing Director of Uncommon Schools. From 1998 to 2005, Mr. Peiser was the Founder, Principal, and Executive Director of Boston Collegiate Charter School, a college preparatory middle and high school serving 450 students. Prior to this, Mr. Peiser taught History at Midwood High School in New York City. Mr. Peiser received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University and a Master of Public Policy degree from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
