High expectations for students mean high expectations for families -- our most important community partners. We hold families to high expectations, and we assume that they will hold us to equally high standards.

Families ensure that their children arrive at school on time every day, in uniform, and ready to learn. Families check that students complete their homework each night. They support the school in enforcing the Code of Conduct. Families communicate with the school frequently to share successes and discuss challenges.

All families are encouraged to participate in the Family Involvement Committee (FIC) that meets nearly monthly and in our other family events:

October 5, 2009: 5th Grade State Social Studies Exam Family Meeting

October 19 and 20, 2009: FIC Back-to-School Potlucks (K-4th Grade)

October 26, 2009: FIC Back-to-School Potlucks (5th and 6th Grades)

November 2, 2009: Elementary Academy FIC Math Night

November 23-29, 2009: FIC Fall Fundraiser for Literacy

January 11, 2010: 3rd-6th Grade ELA and Math Exam Family Meetings

March 15, 2010: 4th Grade StateScience Exam Meeting

May 10-14: Family Appreciation Week

May 14, 2010: Family Appreciation Community Meeting
