Thank you for your interest in Excellence Girls Charter School.

Excellence Girls is a free, public charter elementary school. Excellence Girls is located in the Bedford Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York.  Excellence Girls is currently serving 145 scholars in Kindergarten and 1st Grade and will grow to serve girls in Kindergarten through 8th Grade. We hope that this website and our information sessions will help you to learn more about Excellence Girls and our application process.

Excellence Girls accepts students by public lottery. We will post information on the enrollment process and application deadlines later this fall.

Prior to the application deadline, we will host a series of information sessions that will provide prospective families with the opportunity to learn more about the school, our mission, our values, our program, and our results.

Excellence Girls is a free, public charter school that accepts students by random, public lottery.

At this time, we are accepting applications for our wait list, in order to fill places that may become available throughout the year.

Applications for our 2010-11 Kindergarten class will be available at our information sessions in early 2010.

Eligibility

To be eligible for Kindergarten at Excellence Girls in 2010-11, students must be at least 5 years old on December 31, 2010. 

To be eligible for the current Kindergarten wait list, students must be at least 5 years old on December 31, 2009.

To be eligible for the current 1st Grade wait list, sudents must be at least 6 years old on December 31, 2009.
