Rochester Prep posted exceptional results in both NYS Math and English Language Arts tests during its third year of operation.
In particular, Rochester Prep’s 7th grade students have achieved a remarkable 100% proficiency in both ELA and Math for 2009 – a feat rarely accomplished by any school in New York State. This ranks Rochester Prep as the top performing public school in Monroe County on both tests, though its students are eight to ten times more likely to live in poverty than students in high performing suburban districts. By comparison, 53% of Rochester City School District students were proficient on the same (Grade 7) ELA test and 59% proficient on the Math test.

Rochester Prep is equally proud of the stellar scores posted by its 6th graders in 2009.
100% of Rochester Prep's 6th grade students also scored proficient or above on the NYS Math test, compared to 65% of District students on the same (6th grade) assessment. This achievement again distinguished Rochester Prep as the highest performing school in Monroe County on the 6th Grade state Math assessment.

94% of Rochester Prep's 6th grade students scored proficient or above on the NYS ELA test, compared to 70% of District students on the same (6th grade) assessment. This achievement again placed Rochester Prep as among the highest performing schools in Monroe County on the 6th Grade state ELA assessment.
