The Preparatory network includes Leadership Preparatory Bedford Stuyvesant Charter School, which opened in August 2006; Leadership Preparatory Brownsville Charter School, which opened in August 2009; and, Leadership Prep Ocean Hill Charter School, which will open in August 2010. The mission of the Preparatory Charter Schools is to prepare students to excel in college preparatory high schools, college, and beyond by providing them with the academic skills, knowledge, and character traits required to achieve at the highest levels. The schools will grow to include grades K through 8.
Leadership Prep Bedford Stuyvesant currently serves students in grades K through 4 and posted very strong results on New York State exams in 2009. The school is led by Principal Sultana Noormuhammad and Director of Operations Russ Graney . |

| Leadership Prep Brownsville opened in August 2009, and serves 116 students in Kindergarten and 1st Grade. Leadership Prep Brownsville, like its sister school, offers a rigorous academic program, and a longer school day and school year to ensure that students reach the school’s high standards. Founding Principal Darcy Richie and Founding Director of Operations Analiza Quiroz lead the school. |

Leadership Prep Ocean Hill will open in August 2010 to 110 Kindergarten and 1st Grade students. Like the other schools in the network, Leadership Prep Ocean Hill will also offer a rigorous, college-preparatory program in a safe and structure environment. The school will be led by Founding Co-Director for Curriculum and Instruction Nikki Bridges and Founding Co-Director for Operations and Finance Brendalyn King.
Max Koltuv, the Founder and former Head of School of Leadership Preparatory Bedford Stuyvesant Charter School, is the Director of Brooklyn Elementary Instruction. |
