Una nueva asignatura optativa de rob\u00f3tica, dirigida por el ingeniero en rob\u00f3tica Dr. Cortney Bolden, ofrece a los estudiantes la oportunidad de profundizar en temas de ciencia, tecnolog\u00eda, ingenier\u00eda y matem\u00e1ticas (STEM), desde inform\u00e1tica y geometr\u00eda hasta electr\u00f3nica y pensamiento cr\u00edtico.<\/p>\n<p>\"Se trata de exponerse a nuevas habilidades. Se trata de resolver problemas. Se trata de pensamiento cr\u00edtico e incluso de entusiasmarse con la tecnolog\u00eda y utilizarla en la vida cotidiana\", dice Bolden a TAPintoCamden.<\/p>\n<p>Naquan Tatum, estudiante de Camden Prep, dijo a TAPintoCamden que \"al principio la clase parece dura, pero luego se hace m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil y cada vez eres mejor. Se vuelve m\u00e1s divertido de hacer\".<\/p>\n<p>El entusiasmo no se limita a los estudiantes. Syrena Burnam, directora de CPHS y educadora de STEM, tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 entusiasmada con el programa.<\/p>\n<p>\"Las clases STEM que permiten a los estudiantes construir y crear les permiten explorar lo que los matem\u00e1ticos y cient\u00edficos hacen realmente de una manera que engancha y entusiasma a muchos adolescentes\", dice Burnam. \"As\u00ed es como nuestro programa de rob\u00f3tica les hace pensar en continuar su educaci\u00f3n STEM en desafiantes programas de verano de secundaria, pr\u00e1cticas y en la universidad\".<\/p>\n<p>El programa extraescolar sigue el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.firstlegoleague.org\/\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Primera Liga Lego<\/a> dise\u00f1ado para introducir conceptos STEM entre los j\u00f3venes de 4 a 16 a\u00f1os. Y aunque nuestros alumnos aprenden a distancia, el Dr. Bolden dice que impartir la clase no es imposible.
