I want to be that type of role model for other students,&#8221; says Ariana Gomes, about her experiences at Roxbury Prep Mission Hill.<\/p>\n<p>Gomes is currently senior at the University of Miami but this summer, <a href=\"https:\/\/patch.com\/massachusetts\/roslindale\/roxbury-prep-alumna-future-teacher-nodx\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">she returned to Boston as a Summer Teaching Fellow<\/a> and gave back to her community. <\/p>\n<p>Nearly 140 rising college seniors participated in STF 2020, learning how to teach at a high-performing school, gaining teaching skills, and practicing, albeit online.
