Essa tradi\u00e7\u00e3o come\u00e7ou originalmente durante a pandemia para atender \u00e0s necessidades das fam\u00edlias que lutavam contra a inseguran\u00e7a alimentar.<\/p>\n

O Greater Boston Food Bank estima que 1 em cada 3 adultos em Massachusetts n\u00e3o sabe de onde vir\u00e1 sua pr\u00f3xima refei\u00e7\u00e3o, um \u00f4nus que afeta desproporcionalmente as comunidades negras e latinas.<\/p>\n

O objetivo desse evento n\u00e3o era apenas ajudar a enfrentar esses desafios para as fam\u00edlias da Roxbury Prep, mas tamb\u00e9m ampliar a mensagem de que cada pessoa se torna melhor quando investimos em nossos vizinhos e comunidades. \"Este ano, 165 fam\u00edlias se inscreveram para receber doa\u00e7\u00f5es, o que \u00e9 tr\u00eas vezes mais do que quando realizamos esse evento pela primeira vez em 2020\", disse Bridget McElduff, membro da equipe da Roxbury Prep. \"Como comunidade escolar, estamos especialmente preocupados em como podemos apoiar nossas fam\u00edlias na busca pela seguran\u00e7a alimentar.
