The next day, over 4,000 high school students logged online for remote learning. The transition to online learning was completed in one day.<\/p>\n<p>This meant students were safe and could continue their learning uninterrupted, including taking the online-only versions of the Advanced Placement exams \u2014 a critical gatekeeper for many college dreams.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe best part of online learning is having complete independence of your learning environment and your surroundings while actually learning virtually,\u201d said Junior Alex Bishop. \u201cThis is really helping me get ready for college.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Online attendance can be tricky but Uncommon&#8217;s high schools are seeing daily attendance rates of over 90 percent, nearly rivaling attendance rates at brick-and-mortar sites.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingscountypolitics.com\/uncommon-schools-built-online-high-schools-in-one-day\/\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Read more of the story at Kings County Politics.<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Em 16 de mar\u00e7o, a Uncommon Schools fechou todas as suas escolas, incluindo as quatro escolas de ensino m\u00e9dio, em resposta \u00e0 pandemia do coronav\u00edrus.
