The Critical People Behind the Scenes
Our Home Office team applies their talents and expertise in service of our entire network of 53 schools. Through the strategic and administrative leadership and supports they provide, our Home Office empowers our schools to achieve at the highest levels.
Home Office Roles
Our Home Office team members leverage a diverse set of skills and experiences from across industries in supporting our schools. The majority of our Home Office team members work out of our main New York City office and our Newark regional office, with additional small regional offices in Boston, Camden, Rochester, and Troy.
Our HR, Recruitment, Talent Development and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion teams ensure we hire the best, most diverse staff for our schools and provide them with top-tier supports.
Data and Information Technology
Our Data Analytics and IT teams keep our schools running by providing the student achievement data and analysis we use to drive our decisions, and the critical IT infrastructure and technical support on which our schools depend.
Finance and Real Estate/Facilities
Our Finance, Accounting, Compliance, and Real Estate & Facilities teams support all the fiscal and facility-related services and processes that allow our schools to function, from ensuring the financial sustainability of our schools to overseeing our capital projects to build new schools.
School Management and Instruction
Our Curriculum and Assessment, Content Development, and teams supporting the Chief Schools Officers and Assistant Superintendents provide curricular leadership, professional development, and critical tools to our principals and instructional leaders across the network.

Senior Associate Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
"This is an organization that deeply cares about and invests in their people both personally and professionally. When I first started at Uncommon, I was an entry-level Coordinator. Five years later, after investments my managers have made in me through regular cycles of feedback, professional development, and the opportunities to stretch my skills, I now have the privilege of overseeing our celebrated Summer Teaching Fellowship program as a Senior Associate Director."
Senior Associate Director of Financial Management
"Working at Uncommon Schools has been my greatest professional experience. The Home Office teams are closely aligned and collaboration feels seamless. The work is challenging, and my role highlights my strengths and allows me to develop in growth areas with a perfect balance of autonomy and direct support."
Associate Director of Recruitment

They work in innovative ways to find creative solutions to challenges, and they create new initiatives, working to ensure that our schools stay staffed with the best teachers and leaders our kids deserve."
