Camden Prep Transitions to Online Learning

When schools closed at the end of March 13, 900 Camden Prep students were sent home with paper-based remote learning packets so they could continue practicing previously learned materials. On March 30, a whole new type of online learning begin.

A family and student-facing website that contains videos of master educators teaching various subjects, along with assignments, will be launched. Additionally, Camden Prep teachers will continue to reach out to families and students via phone and Zoom.

One such master teacher is Alicia Montague-Keels, who will teach 4th grade math to over 1,300 students across the Uncommon network. Montague-Keels has been teaching at Camden Prep for four years, and is an instructional leader as well as a classroom teacher. She started her teaching career as a Summer Teaching Fellow — a teacher pipeline program for college students.
