Uncommon Schools North Star Academy Washington Park High School is sending 154 graduates to college this fall, including four of the eight Ivy League schools. To date, the Class of 2019 is the largest graduating class and many of them are first in their families to attend college.
Students like Paulyn credit North Star Academy for pushing them to reach their academic potential. In the fall, Paulyn will be attending Columbia University on a pre-med track. “Teachers push you to be out of your comfort zone. Being surrounded by that every single day just pushes you to become a better person and a better student.”
