Sai Igiede is flourishing as an Uncommon alum. He is an exercise science major at UMass Lowell with a minor in applied biomedical sciences. Sai is also on the pre-physician assistant track, and hopes to apply to PA school upon his college graduation. While he’s had his ups and downs academically, Sai has shown impressive perseverance. When struggling in difficult STEM prerequisites, he has proactively worked with his professors, enrolled himself in tutoring, and formed study groups with his peers. As a result of this hard work, Sai has consistently earned above a 3.0 and joined Lowell’s honors program!
Beyond his academic success, Sai is the definition of a student leader. He became an RA in his sophomore year as well as an orientation leader for new students over the summer. Sai has also been involved with student government since he began at UML and was recently elected student body vice president! Reflecting his drive to pursue medicine, Sai is employed on campus as a well-being leader for UML’s mental health advocacy program. With all of these responsibilities, Sai still found time to pursue a short-term study abroad program in Spain this past spring break and meet with a group of RPHS juniors while they visited his campus. Sai is a capable, resilient, and passionate alum who demonstrates many of the best qualities of an Uncommon education. We can’t wait to see how he uses his talents next!
