Roxbury Prep Missional Hill 5th-grade math teacher, Maggie Hillman is a top-4 finalist for Massachusetts Teacher of the Year! She is the only charter school teacher named as a finalist by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Terra Carr, Regional Superintendent of Instruction, said of Ms. Hillman: “Maggie is an exceptional teacher, and it shows in the relationships she builds with students and families, and in her student achievement data. Her classroom is joyful, rigorous, and is a place where all learners are seen, valued, and have their voices heard. Maggie is not only exceptional at her craft, but she’s a teacher who also helps other teachers grow as well. She models exemplary teaching practice in other teachers’ classrooms across our schools.”
