News reporter Richard Whitmire visited Uncommon Leadership Charter High School in Brooklyn to see students engage in High School 2.0 — a program that provides students an opportunity to explore topics outside core academic subject areas.
The program brings outside experts to teach classes from coding to dance. Students are able to learn “the kind of individual pursuits that just happen naturally in the lives of middle-class students.”
