  1. What are you working on now? Are you in college? If so, what’s your major? Why have you chosen this major?

I am an upcoming graduate of Vassar College, graduating with a BA in Cognitive Science with a minor in Economics. I chose Cognitive Science because of its interdisciplinary approach to studying the brain, body, and environment. It encompasses psychology, neuroscience, philosophy, computer science, anthropology, and other fields of study that can tell us more about the brain. I believe this interdisciplinary major has prepared me for a number of career choices, thus giving me many options in what direction I take. I minored in economics because it is important to understand market dynamics and consumer behaviors.

  1. What are you most passionate about?

I have always been a person of varying interests; I have a passion for storytelling, which is why I want to go into the marketing/communications field. I also have interests in climate justice work and social justice work for non-profit organizations. Recently, I attended the 2023 United Nations Water Conference in New York City, where I represented an organization I previously interned for. Today, I exercise my interest in aiding students in their career journeys. I am an Alum Outreach and Partnerships Intern at Vassar’s Center for Career Education, where I help students edit their resumes and cover letters, facilitate career panels and workshops, and maintain the alum database. Therefore, it’s okay (and normal) if you have multiple interests!

  1. What do you see yourself doing in the future.

While I am not sure of where I see myself in the future (and that’s okay!), I know I will ensure my happiness and well-being first. I only hope to continue growing personally and professionally, and overcome some fears of mine. I am currently in the midst of my full-time job search in marketing/communications and copywriting roles, where I can exercise my passion for storytelling.

  1. So far which lesson do you carry with you no matter where you go?

The one lesson I will always remember is that learning never stops. Even outside of school or work, you are always learning new things about life, relationships, and your goals. Learning never ends!
