Stanaelle Celestin

Stanaelle is flourishing in her first year at Bowdoin College. She is constantly pushing herself both academically and socially on this lively campus. Shortly after starting classes in the fall, she discovered her passion for psychology and hopes to one day become a psychologist, opening her own practice. She has a true desire to help others and that is the driving force as to why she has chosen her major and career. Her goal is to be the person that people can turn to in their time of need. Mental health is an issue that many people struggle with, and Stanaelle wants to be the voice that helps guide them to a better quality of life. While psychology is important to her, she has also enjoyed exploring other academic subjects. Most students are required to take a language and many choose one they are familiar with, but Stanaelle chose to challenge herself with Russian and has even joined the Russian club. When she is not focusing on her academics, she stays active with various clubs and organizations, including the Black Student Union. She can often be seen at many of the on-campus events and is well on her way to becoming a leader on campus. Her passion for her future career and academic drive has already led her to apply for job shadowing opportunities and internships. Although this is only her first year, there is no doubt that she will continue to excel in her academics and leadership skills.
