New Phonics Program Helps Uncommon Students Become Better Readers
Uncommon Schools has launched a new phonics program, UFLI Foundations, to strengthen students’ foundational reading skills. Developed by the University of Florida Literacy Institute, the program provides explicit, systematic instruction in phonemic awareness, decoding, and fluency for K–2 students and targeted intervention for upper grades. With enthusiastic teachers, ongoing professional development, and data-driven support, Uncommon continues its commitment to the science of reading and literacy excellence.
